Notes on the Vintage
2018 was a stella year for English Wine, our Pinot Noir was so good we decided to take the plunge and make a Rosè Brut with it! Disgorged in January 2023 with 10g/l, a slightly higher dosage than normal for us, the results leave a beautiful balanced Rose with a cracking mouthfeel. We are very pleased and excited by this little excursion from our normal styles.
The palate is supple, with smooth bubbles and waves of tangy cherry and cranberry. There’s a softer, almost creamy structure to the wine that combines nicely with the pronounced red fruit. With an appealing rose gold hue, and a nose of red cherry, cranberry, raspberry and grapefruit, followed by a hint of caramelised pastry.
60:40 Seyval Blanc: Pinot Noir
