Notes on the vintage
The Madaleine Angevine grape is lovingly known in the industry as “Mad Angie” and is widely used across English vineyards due to its hardier nature than most, namely its ability to handle our Great British climate!
However, this wasn’t an issue for us this season. We had plenty of sunshine between May and October, which made the fruit so ripe and sugary that we added the Sayval Blanc for its tangy acidity, resulting in a deliciously balanced wine. A classic vintage for us.

Our wines are made and bottled by Steve Brookbank nearby in Shepton Mallet, Somerset.
